The route begins with Pale and Choi, branches to Vicious or Vague and Virulent or Lady Charity, then closes with Ladon and Osiris.
Quick answer
- Pale is a three-switch puzzle
- Despise and Shame change with alignment
- Ghost of Ladon rewards timing
- Old boss numbers are not Steam guarantees

Boss Order at a Glance

Prepare Before Every Arena
A boss fight begins at the last repair screen, not at the arena door. Use the same repeatable check before every encounter.
- Quick Save before crossing the final room boundary.
- Repair equipped gear and remove any avoidable durability risk.
- Restore hunger and carry healing for the full fight.
- Equip current-region gear and skills that can be used with the available SP.
- Identify whether the fight is a puzzle, a timing test, or direct pressure before spending resources.
If a boss overwhelms you, check preparation and the fight mechanic before grinding. Historical level and potion targets do not prove readiness in the Steam balance.
Puzzle and Timing Fights
Pale cannot be treated as a normal damage race. Move stones onto all three corner switches; only then should sustained damage become the priority. Zombies are the distraction, while the switches are the actual gate.
Ghost of Ladon and Ladon reverse that problem. Their protected periods punish constant attacking, so preserve SP and move until the vulnerable recovery or head window appears. The campaign walkthrough places each encounter in route order; this page owns the arena check.
Alignment Boss Swaps
Good-aligned runs meet Vicious at Despise and Virulent at Shame. Evil-aligned runs meet Vague and Lady Charity. If the guardian does not match the planned path, review the good or evil route choices before pushing farther.
Both route pairs reward health control and deliberate counterattacks. The identity changes with alignment, while current numeric damage and HP should be judged inside the Steam fight.

Complete Boss Profiles
The profiles below keep every route variant on one page. Each entry identifies its campaign role and the first mechanic to check. Missing images remain text profiles because no complete verified image set was available.

- Do not let the late healing pressure erase safe progress.
Vague
Evil RouteThe evil-route guardian at Despise, occupying the same campaign slot as Vicious.

- Use the same health and late-pressure check as the good-route fight.
Ghost of Ladon
TimingA protected-phase encounter where movement and recovery-window attacks matter more than constant pressure.
- Encounter
- Seal of Betrayal
- Fight check
- Attack during exposed recovery
- Wait for a safe window instead of spending skills into protection.
Virulent
Good RouteThe good-route Shame guardian. Keep moving through the large arena and counter after attacks.

- Reuse the patience learned against Ghost of Ladon.
Osiris
FinaleThe final story encounter that follows Ladon in the closing sequence.

- Plan the two closing encounters as one preparation block.
If a Boss Will Not Go Down
| Symptom | Likely cause | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Pale keeps recovering or ignores damage | The arena puzzle is incomplete | Confirm stones sit on all three corner switches |
| Ghost of Ladon takes little useful damage | Attacks are landing during protection | Wait for the exposed recovery window |
| The Despise or Shame guardian is unexpected | The save followed the other alignment | Verify earlier moral choices before reloading |
| Every hit is too punishing | Gear, durability, hunger, or healing is behind the region | Return to the last town and repeat the preparation check |
| An old recommended level feels wrong | The number came from an earlier balance | Judge current readiness by survival and damage windows |
Use the Right Route Context
Boss tactics cannot repair a missing quest trigger. Use the map and region chain when the arena cannot be reached, and compare the three class roles when positioning or SP use is the recurring failure.
Steam Balance Boundary
The launch version preserves the complete story and boss structure while changing combat balance and interface feedback. Historical guides remain useful for roster order, puzzle logic, and broad attack windows. Their exact HP, level, damage, and potion counts should not be presented as current requirements.
